Local “Pizzaria” Leaving a Bad Taste In San Antonio Tourists’ Mouths

Donatello’s Pizzaria Distributes Unwanted Food, Flyers and Service

San Antonio, TX – BBB reports that Donatello’s Pizzaria has received 11 complaints since March of 2010 and the San Antonio-based restaurant has earned an F rating for failing to respond to any of the complaints at BBB’s request. The pizzaria located on Marbach Road advertises the delivery of a hot meal, but consumers complain they are unhappy with what they find at their doorstep.

The majority of complaints against the restaurant allege that the food ordered is not received in the promised timeframe, is not correct, or is not satisfactory. Other consumers claim that they were also mischarged and that their attempts to have charges corrected were not addressed.

The complaints against Donatello’s Pizzaria have come from all parts of Texas as well as several from out-of-state. Multiple consumers have ordered from Donatello’s after finding an advertising flyer placed under the door of their room at a local hotel. A staff member from the hotel* contacted BBB in July of 2010 in an effort to stop the restaurant from soliciting business from hotel guests. As of January 18, 2011, the same hotel manager confirmed the restaurant continues to distribute unwanted flyers at the hotel.

BBB contacted the company by phone on January 14, 2011 to address the pattern of disputes. The company replied that they are deliberately choosing to leave consumer complaints unanswered thus leading many people to believe that they will continue to do business as usual.
